Saudi Arabia's startup airline Riyadh Air has partnered with fellow Public Investment Fund (PIF) company noon Payments. The noon Group company will offer the airline digital payment acceptance through its payment gateway.
""Our agreements with noon Payments allow us to tap into their expertise in digital solutions, which will optimise our operational efficiency while offering guests a familiar and trusted payment method,"" said Riyadh Air CFO Adam Boukadida.
noon's general counsel Dhruv Paul commented: ""Partnering with Riyadh Air lets us take this commitment to the next level, bringing world-class payments service, security, and care to every guest.""
The airline is striving to become a 'digitally native airline' through the introduction of digital innovation throughout its structure. It ties into the country's national strategy for data and AI to enhance technological growth in areas such as high-speed internet, expanded data capacity, and advanced mobile technology.
Riyadh Air launched in 2023 and aims to commence operations next year.
