Qatar Airways is all set to resume its direct flights connecting Doha Hamad International Airport and Auckland International Airport starting September 1, 2023. The airline operated the direct service before the onset of the pandemic and altered the route as restrictions eased.
The airline will deploy its Airbus A350-1000 on the route. The airline plans to operate daily service on what is supposed to be one of the longest routes, to meet demands. At over 9,000 miles, this is the company’s longest flight, and one of the longest flights in the world operated by any airline.
Qatar Airways was the only carrier operating between Auckland and Adelaide before Air New Zealand resumed its services in July 2022.
