Qatar Airways has signed travel tech company BAGTAG services to offer electronic baggage check-in service online. With this platform the passengers can easily check in their luggage from anywhere by just using their smartphones making traditional baggage labels a thing of the past.
The software is developed in partnership with Qatar Airways’ travel technology partner Amadeus, making a smooth integration of the software in to the airline system. The BAGTAG platform can be accessed on the Qatar Airways app and used on its flights across the globe.
With this partnership, the airline aims to achieve its sustainable initiative with the new alternative being more environment friendly, besides helping the passengers with seamless travel experience. The passengers can drop off their bags at the fast drop off areas at the airport as the app digitally labels the bags.
