Qatar Airways has completed its rollout of Starlink WiFi across more than 100 widebody aircraft ahead of schedule.
Announcing the milestone on the first day of the Dubai Airshow, Qatar Airways said that more than 50% of its total widebody fleet is now Starlink-connected.
Since its launch of the world’s first Starlink-equipped Boeing 777 in October 2024, Qatar Airways has offered the solution on over 30,000 flights across six continents. The airline now operates up to 200 daily Starlink-connected flights.
With the completion of its Boeing 777 Starlink rollout, Qatar Airways is now accelerating its installation of the solution across its Airbus A350 fleet.
“This pace further cements Qatar Airways’ position as the only carrier in the MENA region to currently offer Starlink onboard, and a global leader in Starlink-enabled long-haul and ultra-long-haul connectivity,” the airline said.
Also at Dubai Airshow, as covered by Airline Economics, Qatar Airways announced that it has selected Ascentia, an analytics solution from RTX's Collins Aerospace, to support its fleet of 52 Boeing 787 aircraft.
