easyJet is expected to announce that it experience less disruption from the December snow storms in the UK in December, as the low cost airline reports a 7.6% spike in passenger numbers last month. The number of seats flown increased to 3.6 million – that doesn’t include any that missed their booked flight due to snow.
London Gatwick, one of easyJet’s bases in the UK was highly publicized for being better able to cope with the snowy conditions that Heathrow, which reported a 9.5% drop in passenger numbers.
The final cost of the snow disruption to the airline will be revealed in a trading announcement due on Thursday.
