Pinnacle Airlines posted better than expected third quarter profits which sent share soaring as much as 18% yesterday.
For the recent quarter, the airline earned $9.4 million, or 51 cents a share, versus $11.4 million, or 63 cents a share, last year. Analysts had been expecting 41 cents a share.
Shares rose some 14% and reached an intraday high of $6.67.
