Low-cost Turkish airline Pegasus Airlines has launched a new route between Dortmund and Istanbul, operating three times a week; taking its total German destinations on offer to 13.
“The newly established connection to Sabiha Gökçen Airport in Istanbul represents a significant achievement for Dortmund Airport and our passengers,” commented Ludger van Bebber, CEO of Dortmund Airport. In total, the German airport transported almost three million passengers in 2023, a new record.
Pegasus currently offers flights to 134 destinations in 50 countries, 36 in Türkiye and 98 on its international network. As one of the youngest fleets in Europe, its average aircraft age as of September 2023 is 4.6 years.
