Olympic Air and Cyprus Airways have signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen the presence of the two airlines in the wider region of Southeastern Europe. Under the agreement, the carriers will codeshare on flights from/to Athens, Rhodes, Heraklion and Thessaloniki to/from Larnaca and Paphos. From 15th April 2011, it will be expanded to cover most domestic and international destinations of both carriers.
This move comes on the back of competitor Aegean Airlines last week announcing that it will set up a base in Cyprus at Larnaca with three new 168-seat Airbus A320s.
