Transborder freight transported between North American countries has seen a decrease of 0.4% in June of this year, when compared to the same month of 2023.
Freight carried by air across the US-Canada border was valued at $2.7bn. When looking at freight carried by air at the US-Mexico border, that totalled $1.8bn.
Overall freight movements - across all forms of transport - between the US, Canada and Mexico for June totalled $134.2bn. Freight between the US and Canada - valued at $64.3bn– is a decrease of 3% when compared to June 2023. In contrast, freight between the US and Mexico saw an increase of 2.1% totalling $69.9bn.
