Norse Atlantic Airways expects a significant accounting gain from the redelivery of three 787-8 aircraft, that the airline said will be recognised in results for the first quarter of year.
The aircraft were initially delivered to Norse in 2022 and since then have been on continuous sublease on a dry lease basis to another airline. Prior to this redelivery, the three 787-8 aircraft had approximately four years lease length remaining.
Following this transaction, Norse has a fleet of 12 787-9 aircraft, with remaining lease lengths of 7 to 14 years and an average lease length of just over ten years.
