Meridiana has appointed Richard Creagh as its new group chief executive replacing Roberto Scaramella who resigned on November 18 for personal reasons Creagh, who is a former Aer Lingus and Ukraine International Airlines executive, has also become executive vice chairman Meridiana fly and Air Italy.
Announcing the appointment, the airline group said: “The board of directors of Meridiana fly, in its new structure, in agreement with the controlling shareholder has expressed its commitment to speed up the business turnaround process, started successfully by the previous management, fully confirming the redundancy procedure in line with what the company has already announced. In particular, cost reduction, competitiveness recovery and the stabilization of the financial position will be among the main goals to build a better and stronger Meridiana.”
