Armac Systems has signed a major software and services agreement with SR Technics, one of the world’s leading independent providers of technical services for the civil aviation sector. Under the terms of the agreement, SR Technics will expand its deployment of Armac’s RIOsys inventory planning solution software as well as consultancy support services. It also makes provision for SR Technics to further deploy Armac’s RIOsys software as needed across other aerospace business units of the Mubadala Development Company, the Abu-Dhabi based owner of SR Technics.
Where it has been applied to date in SR Technics, RIOsys has delivered 25% reductions in inventory spend, and with this expanded agreement RIOsys will improve stock turn by over 30% for the group.
Armac's inventory planning solution enables SR Technics to release cash by continuously setting optimal levels of maintenance inventory. The solution combines data from ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems with the knowledge of inventory planners and uses its proprietary algorithms to provide purchasing decisions to planners.
Helping inventory planners make the right decisions, without over investing SR Technics has increased its worldwide inventory depots to 11 sites globally as it expands beyond EMEA into Asia and America; it will utilise RIOsys to determine both the optimal amount and the optimal geographic location of components.
