Monarch increases engineering capacity

Maintenance provider Monarch Aircraft Engineering Limited (MAEL) is expanding both its line maintenance stations and scope of approvals. With immediate effect, MAEL has opened four new seasonal stations at Glasgow, Dublin, Edinburgh and Cork providing technical handling maintenance up to but not including A Checks for Monarch Airlines and third party customers.
In addition to this, MAEL has gained UK CAA/EASA Part 145 line maintenance approval on Embraer ERJ 170 series and Embraer ERJ 190 at their established station in Malaga.
Commenting on the capability development, Derek Gibson, Maintenance and Operations Director for Monarch Aircraft Engineering said: “The growth into these new locations plus the extension of our capability into new aircraft types fits with our strategy to grow the business and attract new business.”
