Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) producer Neste has started supplying SAF to Emirates at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, with over two million gallons of blended fuel to be introduced to the fuelling system over the course of this year.
""Strong partnerships like this, especially at major air transport hubs such as Amsterdam, lay the foundation for how we can work with partners and airports to increase access to and availability of SAF across our network,” said Adel Al Redha, deputy president and chief operating officer at Emirates.
The airline’s partnership with Neste represents one of the largest volumes of SAF it has purchased to date, consisting of over 700,000 gallons of neat fuel. The producer is also working with the airline to commence supplies of SAF at Singapore’s Changi Airport in the next few months.
