Munich Airport workers set for two-day strike

Workers at Munich Airport, represented by the Verdi workers union, will conduct a two-day strike commencing February 27, 2025.

This strike announcement follows similar action taken by workers at Dusseldorf and Cologne/Bonn airports.

“Significant impacts on traffic operations are to be expected,” Munich airport said in a notice on its website. “Passengers are therefore advised to check the current flight status with their airline before travelling to the airport.”

Munich is Germany’s second biggest airport and saw 41.6 million travellers pass through its terminals during 2024.
