The CEO of Munich International Airport (MIA), Dr. Ralf Gaffal, will step down from his post effective November 2022 and will be replaced by two managing directors Lorenzo di Loreto and Dr. Lutz Weisser to handle the expansion and complex airport operations going ahead.
Lorenzo Di Loreto, MAI's Senior VP of Business Development & Service Delivery, has more than 18 years of professional experience in driving business development and operations management for leading aviation companies around the world. Di Loreto has been a major contributor to MAI’s growth over the past six years, with a significant impact on market positioning, commercial performance, operational improvements as well as the overall transformation of the business and competitive mindset.

Lutz Weisser has been part of the MAI Group since 2019. He has been involved in many airport privatisation and planning projects around the world, gaining a wealth of experience in all aspects of strategic airport development.
