Mesa pilots continue protests

Despite a tentative agreement for Mesa Airlines pilots, the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA still is protesting. The union, which is representing the airline's flight attendants, held a protest at Mesa Airlines headquarters on June 23 over flight attendants' low pay.

Mesa Airlines operates flights for American Airlines as American Eagle and United Airlines as United Express, providing 600 daily departures to 117 cities, 39 states, the District of Columbia, Canada and Mexico.

Earlier this month, Mesa Airlines pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, announced they had reached a tentative agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement with management, which includes pay increases for all pilots, increased vacation accrual and better retirement benefits among many other contract improvements.
