Portuguese maintenance provider MESA has received a second A380 for servicing.
The aircraft, registered to Global Airlines, arrived in Beja, Portugal from Dresden on January 17, 2025. The aircraft will undergo routine maintenance and cabin improvements before commencing commercial operations.
MESA will also assist in applying Global Airlines' livery to the fuselage.
“The Global Airlines A380 project presents a significant opportunity for MESA to strengthen its position as a leader in the global aviation MRO sector,” said David Cruz, MESA CEO. “Our ability to support such a complex and iconic aircraft underscores our commitment to excellence, safety, and innovation.”
Global Airlines founder and CEO James Asquith stated that this will “not be the last” A380 the airline brings to MESA’s Beja facility for maintenance.
