Lufthansa Technik has strengthened its relationship with Philippine Airlines (PAL) further, with the Philippine flag carrier signing an airframe related components services contract for its Airbus A321ceo.
This new collaboration between Lufthansa Technik’s subsidiary in China - Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen (LTS) - and the Manila-based airline is scheduled to begin servicing by the end of this year. The agreement includes maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) as well as spare unit support for the V2500 engine’s inlet cowling.
“We are delighted to announce our new collaboration with Lufthansa Technik on Airframe Related Components,” said Alvin Kendrich O. Limqueco, Philippine Airlines’ senior vice president and chief supply chain officer.
He continued: “This partnership will not only benefit Philippine Airlines by ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet, but also strengthens the relationship between the two companies.”
Philippine Airlines and Lufthansa Technik have been collaborating in various MRO areas for over two decades. Earlier this year, the airline chose to renew its partnership with Lufthansa Technik for its engine maintenance services.
Jens Michel, vice president sales north east Asia at Lufthansa Technik commented: “Thanks to Philippine Airlines for continuing to entrust us with your business. We are always committed to providing outstanding services and excited to further strengthen our successful partnership with Philippine Airlines through this collaboration.”
