Lufthansa Group has stated that preliminary figures show it ended 2010 with a net profit of €1.1 billion ($1.53 billion), this, from a net loss of €34 million in 2009. This news shows that Lufthansa had a great second half of 2010 as in the first half the group posted a loss of €104 million this was mainly due to a positive non-recurring tax effect of around €400 million.  Based on this information the group’s Q4 operating profit is in the region of €265 m while earnings are over €575m. Full-year operating profit was €876 million, from €130 million in 2009. Group revenue totaled €27.3 billion, up 22.4%.

Lufthansa Group is proposing a dividend payment of €0.60 per share for the financial year.
