The Lufthansa Group has concluded 2024 as the leading carrier at Berlin’s Brandenburg Airport.
Around 30% of all connections to and from the German capital’s airport were offered by the group’s airlines - Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings and SunExpress.
This places the Lufthansa Group as the market leader at the airport and the second-largest provider operating around 17% of all flights.
In total, the Lufthansa Group carried 6.4 million passengers last year, with one of the group’s aircraft taking off from Brandenburg every 15 minutes.
The group’s airlines are expected to increase capacity at the airport further during 2025, with Eurowings increasing its seat offering by 12%.
