LOTAMS named as first European Embraer E2 authorised service centre

Embraer said on April 15, 2025, that LOT Aircraft Maintenance Services (LOTAMS) will become Europe’s first Embraer authorised service centre (EASC) for the E2 aircraft family.

LOTAMS has bases across Poland serving some of the world’s largest airlines. LOTAMS will provide routine checks; scheduled and unscheduled maintenance; together with component repairs for E2 family aircraft.

“This continues the long-standing cooperation established at the inception of LOTAMS,” said comments Ewa Kołowiecka, CEO of LOTAMS. “With the certification process complete, we are ready to provide maintenance services for the E2 fleet across Europe.”

After working together for ten years, Embraer and LOTAMS formalised their maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) relationship in 2012, with LOTAMS achieving EASC status for ERJ-145 and first-generation E-Jet aircraft.

In March, Embraer president and CEO Francisco Gomes Neto visited Poland to explore potential partnerships for future projects in the country.

The Brazilian manufacturer confirmed that its first partnership will be with the Łukasiewicz Institute of Aviation (iLOT), focusing on research and development activities in materials, future flight technologies, aeronautical design and future maintenance processes.

Embraer also said that potential projects include KC-390 assembly line, passenger-to-freight commercial aircraft conversions, sub assembly of structural E2 parts, landing gear overhaul facility, and investments in training and education.

In commercial aviation, Embraer is seeking to increase its supply chain in Poland. Currently seats for Embraer’s E2 programme are made in Świebodzin, auxiliary power units in Rzeszów, and key engine components in Kalisz.
