LOT selects Viasat for 787 in-flight connectivity
LOT Polish Airlines and satellite communications company Viasat will equip 15 aircraft across the airlines widebody fleet of 787s with Viasat’s in-flight connectivity solution. ""As part of our cabin upgrade, which will provide a new quality of travel, we have partnered with Viasat, a global leader in connectivity, to implement our in-flight connectivity services,” said Izabela Leszczy?ska, director of product development and customer experience at the airline. “The ability to enjoy Internet access while flying will top off the many changes that the retrofit of our Boeing B787 Dreamliner will bring.” The introduction of W-Fi onto LOT’s services is part of the airlines ongoing upgrade to its Dreamliner fleet which also includes a new internal cabin design and seat replacements. “This is the start of a successful relationship that helps us to continue delivering on our mission to provide reliable, high quality in-flight Wi-Fi to passengers as they travel,” said Don Buchman, VP and GM of commercial aviation at Viasat. This improved fleet is expected to enter service in early 2026.
