LOT Polish Airlines posts record-high July results, carrying 1.19 million passengers

LOT Polish Airlines has recorded its most successful month in its 96-year history this July, setting records across all major operational metrics, the company said.

The carrier transported 1.19 million passengers during the month, the highest monthly figure on record. LOT also operated 11,072 flights, averaging over 350 per day, and recorded 25,623 block hours - nearly 1,000 hours more than its previous peak in July 2019.

Popular European routes included Vilnius, London, and Amsterdam, while long-haul traffic was strongest on flights to Toronto, New York (JFK), and Chicago.

“These results confirm that our growth strategy, based on a hub-centric model, is working,” said Michał Fijoł, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines. “The record-breaking month reflects the trust of our passengers and the hard work of the entire LOT team.”

The airline credited the surge to a strategic expansion of its network in 2025, adding new routes from Kraków to Paris Orly and from Warsaw to destinations such as Thessaloniki, Malta, Reykjavik, and Lisbon.

New flights to Marrakesh and Rovaniemi are scheduled for launch this autumn, with additional routes expected later in the year.

Currently, nearly 60% of LOT’s passengers are transit travellers connecting through Warsaw Chopin Airport.

The carrier is planning further expansion with the delivery of 13 737 MAX 8 aircraft and additional A220s, supporting LOT’s 2024–2028 fleet and network growth strategy.
