Lilium has begun installation of assembly equipment for the serial production of its eVTOL propulsion units.
The first prototype propulsion units for its Lilium Jets are expected to come off the line in the second quarter of 2024. The assembly line was designed in partnership with automation and robotics supplier Schnaithmann Maschinenbau.
“With the support of Schnaithmann, we look forward to implementing state-of-the-art manufacturing solutions capable of being scaled-up and replicated for high-volume production,” said Lilium senior vice president of manufacturing Jan Nowacki.
