Lesha Bank acquires five 777 aircraft

Qatar based Lesha Bank has acquired five 777-300ER aircraft.

The acquisition underscores the bank’s aim to build expertise in the aviation sector, while establishing this as “a key pillar” of its growth strategy.

“In the evolving economic landscape, aviation and aircraft leasing present a number of compelling opportunities," said Lesha Bank CEO, Mohammed Ismail Al Emadi. “This milestone represents a significant step towards building out our aviation portfolio.”

The bank noted that the five aircraft have been leased to a “leading airline.”
