KPMG Ireland has appointed James Kelly as the head of aviation finance, succeeding Joe O'Mara.
O'Mara will take over as head of financial services tax for the company after “six really enjoyable years” leading the aviation finance practice. He will continue to “spend a significant amount” of time working with aviation clients, as well as supporting Kelly in the company's wider sector activities.
“I am really looking forward to driving our market leading financial services tax team to greater heights,” said O'Mara in a LinkedIn post.
Kelly has been a key leader within KPMG Ireland's aviation team for several years.
“With his deep sectoral experience and expertise, he is the ideal person to continue to drive us forward,” commented O'Mara. “Over the last six years, we have substantially grown our aviation team and under James' leadership, we will ensure that we continue to provide the best service to our exceptional clients.”
Kelly has been with KPMG Ireland since 2007 as a tax associate.
