Korean Air is set to re-launch Seoul to Prague thrice-weekly flights starting march 2023. The airline is planning to expand its operations based on the demand. As a part of the summer schedule, the airline will operate the flights four times weekly.

Jiří Pos, Chairman of the Prague Airport Board of Directors acknowledged that the resumption of Seoul to Prague services will be a significant event and a top priority for long-haul services out of Prague. He said: “This is an important milestone not only on the way to resuming operations and returning to the 2019 figures but also in terms of building a network of direct routes to Asia. Korea is one of the markets with the highest demand within the Asian region.”

Park Jeong Soo, Managing Vice President and Head of the Passenger Network said: “At the centre of the airline’s Central European network, Prague is a flagship destination that boasts centuries of rich history and cultural heritage. The service resumption will give us an opportunity to pick up where we left off in fostering active exchanges between the two countries.”

Moreover, passengers flying from Prague can also transit to other destinations via Seoul, such as Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand.

In 2019, more than 270 thousand tourists from South Korea visited Prague. Last year, the number dropped to less than 40,000.
