Johann Bordais to transition from Embraer to Eve

Johann Bordais, the president and chief executive of Embraer Services and Support will now serve as the chief executive of Eve Air Mobility effective September 1. Additionally, the current Co-chief executives of Eve Air Mobility, Andre Stein and Jerry DeMuro, will remain with the company in new positions.

DeMuro assume the post of executive vice president of corporate development until the end of October to assist in the transition of Bordais while Stein will take over the role of chief strategy officer and continue working towards defining Eve's strategy of creating an urban air mobility aircraft.

Johann Bordais has been a leader for Embraer Services and Support since its inception in 2016. Embraer Services and Support brought in $1.27 billion in 2022, which was 28% of Embraer's total revenue.

Bordais also spearheaded the operation of creating a global support network for Embraer aircraft and its customers. The global network he has played a role in creating currently has over 2,300 employees. These employees work towards assisting customers and the 5,700 active aircraft across the world.

Commenting on his new role, Bordais said: “It has been a privilege to lead the Services & Support area since its foundation, and I’m so proud of what all of us at Embraer have accomplished over the years. Urban Air Mobility has the potential to revolutionize how people commute and travel with a direct impact on millions of lives. Supporting customers in a high-demand services environment with the right product is our mission. Eve has built a skilled team in recent years to deliver an effective and sustainable new mode of transportation, and I’m so proud and very excited to join this group."

Following his departure, Embraer will appoint a new chief executive for the business unit in the coming weeks.
