Jetstar to increase capacity on Adelaide-Bali route with new A321neo

Jetstar is all set to increase capacity Adelaide and Bali, Indonesia. The airline plans to resume the popular route from July 21, 2023 and will deploy its A321neo on the route. The airline claims that the A321 has 46 more seats than the Airbus A320 which is currently flying the route, boosting capacity by 25% and adding around 58,000 more low fares on the route.

“Bali has always been Jetstar’s most popular international destination and it’s not hard to see why with its beautiful beaches, delicious food, friendly locals, affordability, and proximity to Australia,” said Jetstar Group CEO, Stephanie Tully. “We’re proud to be flying the newest aircraft in our fleet the A321LRneo between Adelaide and Denpasar from mid-July, opening up more seats so that more customers can access our low fares each year. We greatly appreciate the ongoing support of Adelaide Airport as we continue to grow our presence in the South Australian aviation market.”

Jetstar is consistently increasing its fleet of fuel-efficient A321neos with the fifth plane due to be delivered next month. The airline plans on receiving about 18 aircraft by Q3 of 2024.

Two of Jetstar’s A321LRneo will be permanently based in Adelaide from mid-year, flying to Bali as well as domestic destinations.

“South Australians’ love affair with Bali continues, with Indonesia once again our biggest international destination,” said Brenton Cox, Adelaide Airport managing director. “We’re delighted that two of Jetstar’s newest aircraft will now be based in Adelaide providing next generation aircraft product for South Australians.
