JetBlue Airways will launch new routes to Florida and expand services to the Caribbean this winter.
The carrier will begin a service to Vero Beach for the first time and will resume flights to Daytona Beach in December, with a nonstop service from Boston Logan and New York JFK. The move targets high demand, underserved coastal destinations, JetBlue said.
“Florida continues to be a place JetBlue’s unique combination of low fares and great service resonates,” said Dave Jehn, vice president of network planning and airline partnerships. “We’re excited to bring more choices and better service to these markets.”
The airline is also adding domestic flights from Tampa and Fort Myers to Long Island MacArthur Airport.
In addition, JetBlue is expanding its international footprint with new routes to the Dominican Republic, offering flights between Tampa and Punta Cana as well as between Fort Lauderdale and Santiago de los Caballeros.
The added services are part of JetBlue’s broader strategy to capitalise on leisure travel demand, particularly during the winter peak season, and reinforce its position in the US Northeast–Florida corridor.
