JetBlue has appointed Justin Thompson to vice president, IT data and analytics.

Thompson will oversee the airline’s data engineering, data science, AI/machine learning and business intelligence. He will lead initiatives aimed to scale JetBlue’s data and AI capabilities, in alignment with its JetForward strategy, a framework designed by the airline to guide JetBlue back to sustained profitability.

“My team’s goal is to make JetBlue the most data-driven airline in the world,” said Thompson. “We’ll achieve this by ensuring we have the best technology for our investments, fostering robust data literacy programs, providing secure self-service data access, and leveraging AI in collaboration with teams across the operation.”

Thompson has been with the airline for 18 years, holding various leadership roles across customer support, marketing, and IT.
