Low-cost American carrier JetBlue is to commence flights to Tulum, its fourth destination in Mexico, with a daily nonstop service from New York JFK to Felipe Carrillo Puerto Tulum International Airport set to begin on 13 June 2024.
Vice president, network planning and airline partnerships at JetBlue David Jehn described the new airport in Tulum as “brand new, modern and convenient”, adding that the city has “proven to be a destination in demand”. The route will be served by JetBlue’s A320 aircraft.
JetBlue first flew to Mexico more than 17 years ago. With the addition of services to Tulum, JetBlue will become the only airline to serve the destination with nonstop services from New York’s JFK, as well as offering more than 15 peak daily flights to destinations on both Mexico’s Pacific and Atlantic coasts.
