Jet2 expects to take delivery of 14 CFM-powered A321neo aircraft by the end of the 2025 summer period, bringing the A321neo fleet to 23.
The UK leisure airline said in a trading update on February 19, 2025, that these further deliveries will be made up of both owned and leased aircraft.
“Unfortunately, a number of these aircraft will be delayed from their agreed delivery dates and consequently we expect to incur additional operational costs to cover aircraft gaps in the peak summer flying periods,” the company read in the filing.
However, Jet2 did reaffirm that it is pleased with its A321neo fleet, noting strategic value in terms of operating economics, reduced emissions and customer experience.
Taking delivery of its first A321neo in April 2023, Jet2 has a total order for 146 A321neos, with deliveries expected through to 2035.
