Kuwait’s low-cost carrier, Jazeera Airways announced its first route to China with the launch of direct flights to Xian. The new route will begin operating flights every fortnight from September 19, 2022, gradually increasing to weekly service. The flights will be operated by an A320neo, with a seating capacity of 156 passengers and will include a technical stop in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan for refueling.
Commenting on the launch of its first destination in China, Jazeera Airways Chief Executive Officer Rohit Ramachandran, said: “This a real milestone for Jazeera to fly all the way to the People’s Republic of China. Commercial ties between Kuwait and China have been growing, and we see a positive outlook for developing our network further into the region."
Jazeera Airways has planned a robust expansion plan in months ahead starting with recently added a Saudi route last month. The airline also upgraded its daily flight frequencies in Nepal, since Gautam Buddha International Airport started international flights from May 2022.
Further the airline will continue to expand its routes and fleet with the two new A320s leased from CDB aviation, scheduled to arrive soon. Besides Jazeera Airways has already reported a net profit of $1.2 million for the first quarter (Q1) of 2022.
