Japan Airlines recently announced its first A350-1000 route. The airline plans to commence commercial operations on the aircraft as a part of its winter schedule for 2023 between Tokyo and New York. Going ahead the airline plans to expand the routes to North American and Europe. The winter schedule mostly starts in late October and ends in March. However, the airline has not yet confirmed the exact time slot for the scheduled flight on A350-1000 route.
Later this year, Japan Airlines will take delivery of its first of 13 Airbus A350-1000s. These will be the carrier’s new flagship aircraft, and will gradually replace 13 Boeing 777-300ERs through 2028. The airline claims that the new planes are more fuel-efficient and will help them in attaining their sustainability goals.
Going ahead, Japan Airlines will introduce the new cabins on the A350 with new cabin specifications for international flights to provide customized experience for every single passenger. The airline is in process of finalizing the details.
