James Cropper Advanced Materials is launching EMITEC, a new lightweight material that helps block electromagnetic interference (EMI) and conduct electricity.
EMITEC is up to 19 times lighter than traditional shielding materials like metal mesh and foil, with weights starting from 4g/m².
The company said that unlike older EMI shielding methods that add extra steps and waste, EMITEC is built directly into composite materials, making production simpler, more durable, and more efficient.
The company says EMITEC is ideal for EV battery enclosures, eVTOL aircraft, and advanced electronics.
