Japan Airlines (JAL) is planning to establish closer contacts with the Primorye (Maritime) Territory market tour operators working on the Russia-Japan route and intends, together with counterparts, develop further flights to Japan and beyond.
JAL is interested in close cooperation with tourist companies and airlines operating in the Russian Far East.
"We are planning to introduce our colleagues in Maritime Territory to our airline's product and services. We would also like to personally meet tour operators, to hear their opinion and answer their questions, of which there are usually many at events like these. We are also planning to have a series of meetings with representatives of tourist agencies in the Russian Far East," a spokesperson at JAL's Russian office explained.
The Japanese airline has a code-share agreement with Russia's S7 Airlines, under which the two companies jointly operate commercial flights.
"With the launch of regular direct S7 flights from Khabarovsk and Vladivostok to Tokyo in spring last year, JAL has got an opportunity to offer to clients in the Russian Far East new routes, both inside and outside Japan. The most popular destinations among Russian clients are Southeast Asian countries offering beach holidays all year round: Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines," the Japanese airline said.
