ITA Airways and the Lufthansa Group are enhancing their partnership further by offering codeshare flights between their networks.
By linking route networks through mutual codesharing, it will allow passengers to book flights across ITA and other Lufthansa Group airlines in a single booking.
From the beginning of the group’s summer flight schedule on March 30, 2025, a number of ITA flights will also operate under a flight number of Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines or Brussels Airlines.
This also means that ITA Airways destinations such as Alghero (Sardinia), Pantelleria (Sicily) and Reggio di Calabria, can be booked by Lufthansa Group customers for the first time.
In January, the Lufthansa Group closed its €325 million deal to acquire a 41% stake in ITA Airways. The Italian airline became the group's fifth network airline. The group collectively covers 250 destinations globally.
