The ISTAT Foundation is pleased to announce the 2016 ISTAT Scholarship and 2016 ISTAT Grant recipients. Funding for these programs is provided by annual grants from ISTAT and contributions from individuals and companies.
The Foundation is committed to supporting aviation-focused university students around the globe by way of scholarships. This year, the Foundation has awarded $345,000 in scholarships to support 49 students around the globe pursuing aviation-related degrees; scheduled to be awarded later this year are the Norman C.T. Liu Asia Scholarships and ISTAT University Scholarships. In total, the Foundation is expected to award over 70 scholarships in 2016, a record year.
In addition to the release of this year’s ISTAT Scholarship awards, the Foundation has awarded $77,000 in grants to 18 non-profit organizations worldwide that fulfill the mission of (1) aiding in the promotion of commercial aviation, (2) building an awareness of the various careers in aviation, and (3) encouraging the next generation to consider a future in the aviation industry.
