Passengers travelling to international destinations from India increased by 10% during the first eight months of 2013, according to data from Capa.
Foreign airlines operate more than 1,734 flights per week to 25 Indian airports, which is expected when the winter schedule starts in October.
Domestic airline traffic fell by 5.5% however due to a slowing economy, higher fares, and the loss of Kingfisher Airlines.
