IndiGo will launch its first long-haul routes during the summer period of 2025, introducing non-stop flights to both Amsterdam and Manchester.
Services to Amsterdam and Manchester will operate three times-weekly and are expected to commence in July, subject to completion of all operational preparedness and regulatory approvals.
Earlier this year, IndiGo entered into a damp lease agreement with Norse Atlantic Airways for one 787-9 aircraft, which was inducted into operations on March 1, 2025. This agreement was later expanded to include the damp lease of three additional aircraft, scheduled to join the airline's fleet towards the second half of this year.
These leased aircraft will enable early entry into long-haul markets for the airline as it awaits deliveries of A321XLR and A350-900 aircraft from 2027 onwards.
Over the past two years, IndiGo has built its presence within Europe through multiple codeshare partnerships connecting several European cities to India.
