IndiGo has announced that it will begin operating daily flights between Mumbai and London Heathrow on October 26, 2025.
The flights will be operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft taken on wet/damp lease from Norse Atlantic Airways.
The aircraft will be arranged in a dual-class configuration including economy seats and IndiGo’s tailor-made business class product, IndiGoStretch.
IndiGoStretch offers extra legroom, reclinable seating, priority check-in, and premium amenities for long-haul journeys.
Heathrow is the second UK destination to be added to the IndiGo network, after it began flying from Mumbai to Manchester – its long-haul debut – earlier this year.
Pieter Elbers, CEO of IndiGo, said the response to its Mumbai-Manchester service has been “outstanding”, and a similar response is expected for the Heathrow route.
As covered by Airline Economics, domestic rival AirIndia will also launch its fourth daily flight between Delhi and Heathrow on October 26, 2025.
