Icelandair to launch new routes to Cleveland and Tampa

Icelandair plans to launch a new route to Cleveland, Ohio from May 2018, and will begin with four flights a week.

“Cleveland is the perfect destination for our route network. We are happy to be the first carrier to provide service to Europe in 8 years. This addition also strengthens our route network and bridges Europe and Cleveland together by providing direct service to Iceland in addition to quick and convenient connections to 30 destinations in Europe,” says Icelandair CEO Birkir Holm Gudnason.

Icelandair will also begin flights from Reykjavik (KEF) to Tampa International (TPA) on September 6, 2017.  The new year-round service will operate twice a week departing on Wednesdays and Sundays and returning on Thursdays and Mondays.

“Icelandair is proud to welcome Tampa on board as our latest US gateway.  This addition improves our connectivity and gives our UK passengers access to an 18th exciting gateway in North America, via our hub in Reykjavik.” Said Þorsteinn Guðjónsson, General Manager of Western Europe.
