Iberia Maintenance has obtained the capabilities to carry out maintenance on the wheels and brakes of the A321XLR.
The aircraft type joined the Spanish carrier’s fleet in November, with Iberia being the global launch customer of the latest A321 variant, with the maintenance provider being one of only the few workshops in the world to obtain the training to certify the maintenance of the wheels and brakes of the XLR.
In order to offer these services, Iberia Maintenance has invested more than €10 million ($10.5 million) of inventory dedicated to high-turnover elements, such as wheels, brakes and batteries.
