The Horizon Air Board of Directors has elected Air Force veteran Earl Stott as the vice president of maintenance and engineering. In this role, Stott will oversee the long-term strategy and financial performance of Horizon’s maintenance and engineering workgroup, while leading a team of over 300.
Prior to joining Horizon, Scott was the senior director of business development, Air Force logistics solutions at Palantir Technologies. Before this appointment, he also spent 26 years in the Air Force Maintenance and Logistics community working on commercial and military aircraft before becoming the director of Air Force services for Boeing.
Noting the “sacred trust” maintenance holds within the flying community, Scott added that he was looking forward to working an industry that he loves. As the regional carrier of Alaska Airlines, Horizon maintains an operational fleet of 41 Embraer 175 jet aircraft and serves around 50 cities up and down the West Coast.
