Hawaiian Airlines said on June 26, 2025, that some of its IT systems had been affected, following a “cybersecurity event”.
The airline, which operates as part of the Alaska Air Group, said it was able to operate a full flight schedule, with guest travel not impacted.
The nature of the incident was not disclosed.
Upon learning of this incident, Hawaiian said it was engaged with the appropriate authorities and experts to assist in an investigation and remediation efforts.
The Federal Aviation Authority’s (FAA) safety office, responsible for airline oversight, noted that it has been in contact with Hawaiian, confirming that there was no impact on safety, and that the airline continues to operate safely.
