GlobalX to start flying out of Lincoln in Nebraska

Global Crossings is to start flying from Lincoln in Nebraska, the carrier's chairman and chief executive told the city's mayor and the state's governor on March 30.

"GlobalX through GlobalX Air Tours will be offering air service to multiple destinations departing directly from Lincoln", the company said in a statement, with Nashville, Las Vegas, Dallas and Minneapolis among the destinations to be offered from the start.

“Lincoln and the surrounding areas foster an energy and sense of community that we knew would be critical to what we wish to achieve. We want to uplift the community, while helping to fuel the local economy," said Ed Wegel, the airline's chairman.

"The size and continued growth of Lincoln is impressive and supportive of a robust air service network. The community deserves the convenience of more options directly from their local airport. We are thrilled to be able to work with LNK and Red Way to provide that," Wegel added.
