Global Crossing Airlines Group (GlobalX) has announced the appointment of Chris Jamroz as executive chairman and Ryan Goepel as president, who will also continue to serve as chief financial officer. Goepel is GlobalX’s first employee and has served as executive vice president and chief financial officer since February 2020.
CEO Edward Wegel will resign his ‘duties, rights and obligations as an officer and chariman and CEO of the company, effective immediately,’ confirmed the airline in a statement. While it continues to search for a successor, the leadership team will report to Jamroz in his role as executive chairman of the board.
Wegel commented that he looks forward to working with the board in future to “continue to provide strategic advice and industry knowledge to help continue the growth and development of the airline”.
