Garuda Indonesia plans to launch a new route between Chengdu to Bali. If approved, the new route will open in mid-2014.
Emirsyah Satar, president and chief executive officer of Garuda Indonesia, described the route as part of a broader plan to expand business in the Chinese market.
"We have made efforts to seek suitable cities in China for new air destinations," Satar said. The airline now has flights to Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou.
